Three albino cockatiels weaned.

The three albino cockatiels i was hand rearing have been weaned. They are now in the aviary with there parents, all eating fine. there is another two white downed cockatiel chicks in one nest, plus two more eggs. In another nest there is a yellow downed chick plus three eggs. The yellow downed chicks parents are hen- lutino, cock- pied. will have to see what comes.

Abandoned chicks

ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGG.

A pair of my cockatiels havr decided to leave the nest and abandon 3 albino chicks. The chicks vary in age from about 7 days to 14 days old. They all have white down feathers with red eyes, the oldest one has his pin feathers, again all white. Luckly I was set up for just such an occasion, and I am hand feeding them. They are a hand full. I am feeding them 4 times a day with kaytee hand feeding formula.

First entry in my jornal, I have finaly got it set up correctly, and can now document my journey of discovery and adventure with my Parrots. I hope you find my comments helpful and enjoyable.
